MAKING PIANO HANDS WITH SKITTLES

We have some students who repeatedly "forget" to keep their wrists up when they play. When I was young, teachers placed an eraser or a small toy on the back of our hands while we played to remind us not to let our wrists fall.

Unfortunately, our students are a little different -  some of our younger students think the lesson is more fun if the eraser falls a few times and they spend 5 minutes looking for it to pick it up.
Enter Skittles! Keep the Skittle on the back of your hand for the whole piece, and you can eat it. If it falls, you throw it away. It's amazing how well those young ones can remember to keep their wrists up when candy is involved.

For virtual lessons, we have to depend on the parents to buy Skittles and place on the back of the student's hands. but Skittles still work! Yay!
