THE PIANO NOTE SLIDESHOW

To ensure our students were making the connection between the notes on the page and the keys on the staff, we began quizzing them weekly, initially with flashcards, but then we put together the Piano Note Slideshow video for them to watch on YouTube as homework. Your primer students may also find it useful - it covers Middle C Position and C Position.

That worked great for those who did their homework. For those who were not so diligent, we amended the Piano Note Slideshow PowerPoint slightly and made it into a game. We also increased the number of notes to cover the whole staff. Now that our less diligent students know that they will be quizzed with the Piano Note Slideshow Game in the lesson, their memories have improved and they remember to do their homework!
