Don't Build A Snowman
This activity has been an amazing deterrent to the "Can I start over?" syndrome! We've just been using it a few days and it has made such a difference. Check out the Don't Build A Snowman blog post for more details.
Take NotesAn activity to help students with Middle C Position Notes.
Print, laminate and add a spinner. After students have completed this activity 2 or 3 times, you're likely to see an improvement in their note recognition skills! |
Finger PowerWe use this FingerPower to encourage our students to focus on the sheet music rather than checking their fingers each time they play a note. It is a good way to test their understanding of steps on the piano keys too.

Ready-Set-Start
Some of our students have difficulties finding the starting position for their hands on a new piece. We've been using this PowerPoint Ready-Set-Start activity in our online group lessons, to help them.
Elephant Face Quizzes
Learning staff notes takes a lot of repetition. Sometimes a student will know a note is called “E” but won’t know which “E” it is on the piano. Our ELEPHANT FACE quizzes encourage the students to play the keys on the piano rather than just saying the note names. Click here to download a few of the quizzes.
